GRAMMAR:
- Began our Author Study on Patricia Polacco.
- Defined story elements - characters, setting, plot, theme
- Compared/Contrasted elements from different titles by the same author.
- Graphed Pre and Post Test data from Chapter 2. These two tests were sent home in their blue folder today.
- Chapter 3 pretest
- Determine whether an estimate or an exact answer is needed to solve a problem.
- Subtract three-digit numbers with regrouping.
- Subtract four-digit numbers with regrouping.
GRAMMAR:
- Adjectives
- Students are utilizing Google Docs to write and share stories
- Students are welcome to utilize Google Docs at home too!
- Optional - If students would like to type the writing homework from the packet and share it with me instead of writing it, I'm totally fine with that! Have students write in their packet - Shared Google Doc and I will review and comment online.
- Students created a table showing examples of how they can show respect to themselves, to others and to their school.

- FALL FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS - All classes have been asked to fill 8 spots at the Fall Festival on October 24th. Assignments will be given the day of the event at the Volunteer Booth. If you or a family member are able to help, please sign up and get your parent hours. CLICK HERE to sign up.
- We are planning a field trip to The B Street Theatre to see the folktale Anansi the Spider on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015! We will leave campus at 10:30am and return at 1:30pm. Please remember to wear our school spirit shirt and pack a bag lunch.
- Chaperones - Thank you for volunteering. Chaperones who will be joining us on the trip have been contacted. Chaperones will be responsible for paying a $10 entrance fee once we arrive. Let me know if you have any questions
